A.2. Requirements

You will need the following programs installed in order to use XLocate version 0.65 :

• Qt libs version 3.3.2 or higher, available at http://www.trolltech.com (mandatory)

• slocate version 2.1 or higher, available at http://www.geekreview.org/slocate (mandatory, unless GNU locate is used)

• blkid version 1.26a or later http://www-mddsp.enel.ucalgary.ca/People/adilger/blkid/ blkid is convenient if you happen to index removable disks other than CDROMs and DVDs because it gracefully gives you the volume label for major file system types.

Such software comes along with any recent distribution.

The development version of Qt libs are necessary to install the program from sources.
